WW2 German P.O.W. photograph album, belonging to Kriegsmarine U-boat U593 Junior Sub-Lieutenant Kurt Heinemann from camp 135 in Wainwright, Alberta. This album is unique as it includes many drawings of the camp and camp life, newspaper clippings and documents as well as a copy of his U-boat interrogation papers. Not pictured is his Kriegsmarine U-boat badge and insignias. U593 was sunk on 13 December 1943 in the Mediterranean Sea by the USS Wainwright and HMS Calpe.
